The Stone Memorial Panthers defeated the Warren County Pioneers 9-7 at McMinnville Friday evening to even their record at 2-2. No details were available.

Rhea County 3, SMHS 0: The Panthers dropped a 3-0 decision to District 5AAA foe Rhea County Thursday night in Evensville, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press Friday morning.

The Golden Eagles Tyler Miles hurled a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and one walk.

Justin Waldo was the losing pitcher allowing three runs on five hits for the Panthers (1-2).

Cookeville 14, SMHS 3: Devin Pennington scored two of the Panthers' three runs in the five inning game last Wednesday in Cookeville, according to Craig Delk of the Herald Citizen. Jon Cain was the losing pitcher, allowing 11 hits.

Schedule: The Panthers will open District 4AA play Wednesday at Kingston at 6 p.m., and will host the Yellow Jackets Thursday at 6 p.m.
