After three weeks of action in the Cumberland County elementary football league, Homestead, Crab Orchard, North Cumberland and South Cumberland all have 2-1 records, while Martin, Brown, Pleasant Hill and Stone are all 1-2.

•The Crab Orchard Tigers couldn't overcome six turnovers and lost to Pleasant Hill 26 to 22, according to Coach Elbert Farley.

•The North Cumberland Patriots defeated the Martin Eagles Thursday night 26-16 to improve to 2-1 overall.

Joseph Roysden scored three touchdowns and Kenny Walker scored another one. Sam Cabellcio blocked a punt for a safety and J. D. Brown forced an Eagle fumble.

"Our defense played very well in holding Martin to one score in each half," said Coach Roger Wakefield.

The other scores were Brown 18, Homestead 16; and South 38, Stone 6.
