The CWS foundation, founded by Dr. David Campbell, Mr. Roy Stone and Dr. Robert H. Wood, distributed $5,000 to local high schools for the first of its semi-annual distributions. Elementary schools will receive donations later this January.

"The CCHS baseball program is very thankful for the generous contribution made by Dr. Buck Wood and the charitable fund," CCHS coach Dave Prichard said. " Our baseball program prides itself on maintaining a first class facility not only for our players but also for all of the various schools that travel to Crossville to play. The donation by the CSW foundation enabled our program to purchase an updated field drag that not only will improve the look of our playing surface but also will improve its quality and safety level, thus benefiting all student athletes that play on it. Our program places a heavy emphasis on creating a family atmosphere. We would like to thank Dr. Wood and welcome his to the Jet baseball family."

"We established this fund to help our teachers and help our students," said Dr. Robert Wood. "Talk to your friends and neighbors and get them involved in this."
