In the first Chattanooga Area Cross Country League Meet, the CCHS Jets teams had a fantastic showing. The girls varsity team finished in fifth place out of 34 teams represented, while the boys varsity team finished in 15th place out of 33 teams represented.

Amelia McCoy led the girls' team with 21:57, breaking the CCHS varsity and sophomore records on this course. In second, breaking the junior record, was Courtney Koehl with 22:30. McCoy and Koehl finished sixth and 12th respectively, overall. There were more than 230 runners. Leah Shulley finished third with 24:14, Kristin Galloway finished in 24:37, Amanda Server finished in 25:02, and Angelina Noel finished in 28:06. CCHS had their first three girls in the top fifty of this race.

Drew DeLorenzo finished first on the boys' team, breaking varsity and junior records with a time of 19:29. Drew also finished 49th overall in the race. There were 170 runners. Dustin Seney ran his first race for CCHS, finishing second on the team with 19:58 breaking the freshmen record. Dustin Atchley finished third with 20:09, breaking the sophomore record, while William ran fourth on the team, after being tripped up in the race, and still finished with 20:59. Forrest Longway ran in fifth position with 22:15.

Other finishers for CCHS were Kris Martin 22:37 (senior record), Josh Carruba 24:00, Gary Blaylock 25:00 (JV record), Dominick DeChristofaro 25:49, and Michael McCarthy 33:24.
