The Bear Trace Cumberland Mountain is having a second Junior Golf Academy from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, July 11, 13, 18 and 20. The deadline to register is Tuesday, July 9 at 5 p.m.

"The purpose of a youth golf program is unquestionably to develop not only better golfers, but also better people," according to the PGA of America.

The Junior Golf Academy is designed to:

•Enhance 8-15 year olds (boys and girls);

•Teach juniors the basic fundamentals: grip, stance, swing, etiquette and integrity;

•Encourage juniors to play and practice;

•Develop social skills and emotional control;

•Have fun and make the game enjoyable.

The four session course will cost $65 per student, which includes all range balls, instruction and prizes. Please call about brother and sister discounts.
