For the third straight year, one of the premier ladies professional golf tournaments in the state returns to Bear Trace Cumberland Mountain July 25-26 — The Frontier Tennessee Women's State Open.

On Monday, July 24, a pro-am to benefit the Cumberland County Rescue Squad will open the three-day event with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Three amateur partners will be paired with a Women's Open participant for the pro-am. The team entry fee is $500, which includes golf, extensive goodie bag and dinner for all three players.

There is a $250 hole sponsorship entry which includes adverstisemtn and signage for the Pro-Am, as well as one awards and recognition dinner ticket. Does not include team.

Immediately after play, there will be a Pro-Am awards and recognition dinner served in the Recreation Lodge at Cumberland Mountain State Park. Additional guests must be pre-registered at a cost of $50 per person.

All proceeds will benefit the Cumberland County Rescue Squad.

The tournament is limited to the first 30 teams.

Courtney Wood is the defending champion.
