Everyone's talking about it but just in case you haven't read or heard about DSquared (D2) Entertainment's upcoming show at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center, here is what it's all about. D2 is bringing some of your favorite Cumberland County Playhouse performers for a spectacular evening. Daniel Black, Michael Ruff, Jason Ross and Weslie Webster will join Dennis Donald for “Voices of Vegas-The Rat Pack” on Monday, Dec. 5, to bring you the magic that was Frank, Sammy and Dean (and a bit of Judy and Marilyn!) in a fun-filled evening of music, style, and laughter featuring many classic, timeless and memorable songs. Two other Playhouse favorites, Greg and Lindy Pendzick, will be on hand as well as Terry Henderson and JoJo Kettler to lend their charismatic charm and assist guests with drink orders after they are seated. There will also be a couple of surprise guests!
You won’t want to miss this event. Tickets are $20 and include light snacks. They can be delivered or reserved by calling (931) 456-1972 or (864) 314-5719. Please do not call the Conference Center. Seating at this time is very limited so hurry and get your tickets now. There are still a couple tables of nine and some great single seats available as we have gone from tables of eight to tables of nine. Hurry, hurry!
These performers are passionate and seasoned entertainers with a love of the genre, not impersonators or “look-a-likes,” and they will bring their own take to the original Rat Pack era through this tribute. There is no way to reproduce the Rat Pack of the glory days of the '60s, but take a stroll down memory lane in our tribute to these untouchable icons. Let us take you back to a tremendous era that reflects the moods and memories of Old Blue Eyes, Mr. Cool & the Candy Man… and of course our pinup legend Marilyn Monroe and the incomparable, endearing Judy Garland. Listen to the music and banter that made the Rat Pack the epitome of cool; that taught you how to tilt your hat just so, with voices more warming to the senses than the smoothest silk.
If you miss the smooth sound of Dean Martin, the sophistication of Frank Sinatra, the sheer excitement of Sammy Davis Jr. (Mr. Entertainment himself), the glamour of Marilyn Monroe, the mesmerizing quality of Judy Garland or you’re a bit nostalgic for the good ol’ days, you’re in luck. This is your chance to put on your ‘glad rags’ and dancing shoes, find someone to share an evening of good times, great tunes, class, style and an abundance of fun as we take you on a trip back to the unforgettable days of hip and cool. All this takes place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center. A cocktail/fellowship hour with cash bar in the Lobby at 6 p.m. will begin the evening with piano music provided by DJ Garrison. Seating for the show will take place at 6:45
