An adult and two teen-aged males were taken into custody last week and charged with breaking into a vehicle, according to Crossville Police reports.
Austin Joel Gibson, 18, 963 E. First St., is charged with burglary. Charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools are a 17-year-old Old Mail Rd. male and a 17-year-old Elizabeth St. male, according to Ptl. Daniel Coleman's report.
The incident occurred Sept. 9 on Mayberry St. around 5 a.m. when a neighbor observed some males going through a neighbor's vehicle, Coleman reported. The neighbor confronted the group, but eventually all fled.
Two of the males ran through a wooded area to Genesis Rd. to the area of Village Lane and toward the Crossville Recreational Park. Ptl. Jonathan O'Neal arrived with his tracking dog and followed the trail through the rec park to Dooley St. and eventually McLarty Lane.
The two juveniles were taken into custody after being found hiding on a back porch of an empty house on McLarty Lane. Gibson was apprehended at his residence on E. First St.
The juveniles were cited into Juvenile Court while the adult will appear in General Sessions Court.
