Cumberland County sheriff's deputies teamed up with the Governor's Task Force on Marijuana Eradication and reports the destruction of 26,757 marijuana plants, according to sheriff's Lt. David Gibson.

June 5 through the 9th, Cpl. Roy Kemmer, Deputies David Bowman and Richard Tinch and Gibson worked with task force members in undisclosed locations throughout the county harvesting marijuana that had a potential street value more than $40 million, Gibson said.
