A jet ski and trailer valued at $10,251 that was reported stolen from a Holiday Dr. address has been recovered in the county and a local man has been charged with theft, according to reports.

Donnie J. Rector, 32, 388 Eastland Cemetery Rd., is charged with one count of theft and is to appear in Cumberland County General Sessions Court this week to answer the charge. He was arrested July 21 and placed under $12,000 bond.

Rector was taken into custody by Deputy Al Seitner who stopped for a traffic violation a Chevrolet Blazer that was traveling on Todd Town Rd. Rector was said to be the driver of that vehicle.

He is accused of sealing a 2008 Kawasaki jet ski earlier in the month. The jet ski was recovered at a Cole Bank Rd. residence in White County, according to reports filed by Crossville Police Major Mark Rosser.
