House of Hope gets boost

Cadets in Basic Correctional Officer Training Class 504, taught by Noah Uribe of Crossville, offered a boost to the House of Hope this year with the donation of more than 130 toys and a gift card for the program’s annual Christmas program. On hand for the donation were, from left, front row, House of Hope Executive Director Denise Melton with cadets Kitana Brown, Donna Joseph and Mepoe Roberts; and back, cadets Tom Overby, Padan Cutter, Samuel Bitner and Yasha Bitner. The cadets represent Bledsoe County and Morgan County correctional complexes. House of Hope serves more than 500 Cumberland County children each year referred by the Department of Children’s Services.
