Two semi trucks were damaged when a large sign and pole belonging to Pilot Travel Center on Genesis Rd. fell as high winds swept through the county in the early morning hours Tuesday.

According to SPTL. Thomas Burnett with the Crossville Police Department, the 1995 Peterbilt semi truck sustained significant damage to the front end and cab, leaving it inoperable. Damage was placed at $100,000.

The sign also damaged the front left and front end of a 2013 Kenworth semi truck, causing about $25,000 in damage. The sign was also destroyed, at a loss of about $20,000.

No one was injured.
