Through the Girl Scout Gift of Caring program, Girl Scouts ask customers to purchase additional packages of Girl Scout Cookies which they donate to charitable organizations. This year, the Girl Scout Council of Cumberland Valley undertook a Council-wide Gift of Caring project, Cookies for Veterans.

Girl Scout troops from across the Council's 39-county jurisdiction sold more than 4,500 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to donate to the Veterans Health Administration's Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS). The cookies will be enjoyed by patients and their friends and families at all TVHS campuses. At the Girl Scout Cookies for Veterans Cookie Delivery, members of Junior Girl Scout troop 2538 and Girl Scout Council representatives presented the cookies to the voluntary services office at the Alvin C. York Campus of TVHS in Murfreesboro.
