Thousands of stitches

The Cumberland County Piecemakers will host their 10th biennial Mountain Memories Quilt Show June 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cumberland County Community Complex, 1398 Livingston Rd. Peggy Garwood captured awards during the 2017 quilt show. This year’s show will feature tens of thousands of stitches and a large variety of quilts. There will 10 vendors on hand, quilt appraisals available, and demonstrations throughout the weekend. Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster and Crossville Mayor James Mayberry will also pick their Mayor’s Choice quilt. Enjoy a display for Garwood and her award-winning quilts and a special display in memory of Verda Hopkins. Some quilts will be available for purchase.
