Monthly pancake breakfasts set

Tansi Community Church at 2067 Cravens Dr. is starting a community pancake breakfast to be held in the church basement on the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-10 a.m. with a suggested donation of $3 per person. The purpose of this is to raise funds for the men's group to support various projects for the church.

Experience the passion of Christ

Mel Gibson's film, The Passion of the Christ, will be continue being shown in different episodes, continuing April 23 and 30, during the Sunday school hour at 9 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Fellowship in Fairfield Glade. Everyone is welcome to attend all of these episodes, and the regular Sunday services. Way of the Cross event planned

The St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Committee and the people with Pleasant Hill Community Church have formed "Christians for Justice and Peace." The group will conduct the Way of the Cross at 11 a.m. on April 14 at the courthouse lawn.

Support group meets monthly

Managing Family Concerns, a support group for single parenting issues, meets on Mondays in April from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Christian Counseling Center of Cumberland County in the Arches Building, Suite 113, 53 N. Main St. The Christian Counseling Center is a nonprofit corporation supported by First United Methodist Church, Christ Lutheran Church, Fairfield Glade First United Methodist Church, St. Francis of Assisi and Westminster Presbyterian. Easter cantata set for April 16

The community is invited to attend an Easter cantata presented by Fellowship Baptist Church on Sunday, April 16, at 10 a.m. "The Night Before Easter" is a resurrection musical by Mosie Lister. An Easter egg hunt will follow the morning service. The church is at 12 Westminster Court in Fairfield Glade. The church is handicap accessible and a nursery is available. Monterey Worship Center, 120 E. Commercial Ave., will present the drama "It is Finished" (John 19:30) at 6:30 p.m. on April 15.

Trinity Tabernacle plans egg hunt

Trinity Tabernacle, 2028 S. Main St., will have a Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. on April 15. There will be several prizes, including three grand prizes. The hunt is for children through sixth grade.

Yard, craft sale scheduled for May 20

Revival slated at Bible Methodist

Crab Orchard Church of God women's ministry will have a pancake breakfast from 7-10 a.m. on April 29 in the Care Center on the corner of First and Adams streets in Crab Orchard. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12.
