Monthly pancake breakfasts set

Tansi Community Church at 2067 Cravens Dr. is starting a community pancake breakfast to be held in the church basement on the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-10 a.m. with a suggested donation of $3 per person. The purpose of this is to raise funds for the men's group to support various projects for the church.



Support group meets monthly

Managing Family Concerns, a support group for single parenting issues, meets on the first Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Christian Counseling Center of Cumberland County in the Arches Building, Suite 113, 53 N. Main St. The next meeting will be April 6. The Christian Counseling Center is a nonprofit corporation supported by First United Methodist Church, Christ Lutheran Church, Fairfield Glade First United Methodist Church, St. Francis of Assisi and Westminster Presbyterian. Make a joyful noise

The Make a Joyful Noise bluegrass and gospel concert will be at 2 p.m. on April 1 at Meridian Christian Academy, 140 Rome Road. There will be several special performances and raffles. Admission is free, and a love offering will be taken. For more information, call 788-6995 or 210-3786.



St. Francis holds rummage sale

St. Francis of Assisi, 7501 Peavine Road, will have a rummage sale on April 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and April 8 until 11 a.m. There will be furniture, household items, clothing, children's items, electronics, books, puzzles, linens, holiday items, the boutique and more. Admission is free.



CWU prepares for annual forum

Church Women United of Cumberland County will have its annual forum on April 1 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 151 St. Alphonsus Way in Crossville, off Sparta Hwy. Emmaus Walk events scheduled

Emmaus of the Cumerlands Women's Walk 52 will take place through March 26. A community gathering will be at 8:30 p.m. on March 25, and the closing ceremony will be at 4:30 p.m. on March 26. The event is hosted by Livingston First United Methodist Church, 104 Roberts St. in Livingston. From I-40, take Hwy. 111 N to Livingston. The church is three blocks past the courthouse at the corner of East Main Street and Roberts Street. Creative ministry comes to Crossville

Bear Cove Baptist Church in Sparta will present Y.E.A.H. (Youth Excited About Him) Creative Ministries on April 2 at 6 p.m. at Cumberland Worship Center. The program includes a puppet ministry, interpretive movement, gospel illusions at testimonies. All are welcome.



Gospel singing set for April 1

The Singing Cookes and the Cooke Brothers from Kingsport, TN, will be singing at the Oneida High School gym Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. The high school is located one block off Hwy. 27 on Main Street in Oneida. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.



Experiene the passion of Christ

Mel Gibson's film, The Passion of the Christ, will be shown in four different episodes, April 2, 9, 23 and 30, during the Sunday school hour at 9 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Fellowship in Fairfield Glade. Everyone is welcome to attend all of these episodes, and the regular Sunday services. Sam Graham and the Golden Aires will perform at 6:30 p.m. on March 25 at Lighthouse of Praise on Lantana Road. Everyone is invited.



Easter cantata set for April 16

The community is invited to attend an Easter cantata presented by Fellowship Baptist Church on Sunday, April 16, at 10 a.m. "The Night Before Easter" is a resurrection musical by Mosie Lister.
