Monthly pancake breakfasts set
Tansi Community Church at 2067 Cravens Dr. is starting a community pancake breakfast to be held in the church basement on the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-10 a.m. with a suggested donation of $3 per person. The purpose of this is to raise funds for the men's group to support various projects for the church.
Take a course in miracles

This is a curriculum for obtaining and extending inner peace. It is not affiliated with any specific religion and normally meets on a weekly basis.
Central Baptist presents living Christmas tree
Central Baptist Church, 1346 S. Main St., will present The Living Christmas Tree — The Shepherd's Story at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9 and at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 11. The 25-foot living Christmas tree features 75 sings and a live orchestra. The children's choir and handbell choir will perform. There will also be a full drama presentation of the Christmas story. Study begins in Cookeville
The International Order of St. Luke the Physician is an interdenominational organization dedicated to the healing of body, soul and spirit through prayer. All interested persons are invited to attend for healing prayer. There is available a 26-week study of "The Healing Ministry of Jesus." Fellowship Baptist welcomes Hyssongs
Fellowship Baptist Church invites the community to come be encouraged and uplifted by the Hyssongs on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. The Hyssongs are a well-known Southern gospel music family who sing and travel extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Silver Springs Baptist holds nativity program
Silver Springs Baptist Church, Lebanon Road at Benders Ferry, Mt. Juliet, will again present John Carter's In Bethlehem Inn through Dec. 2. Those in attendance will experience what it could have been like the night Jesus was born. Performance times are 6:30 p.m. with a 4 p.m. show on Saturday. Singles enjoy Christmas banquet
Fellowship Baptist Singles will enjoy their annual Christmas banquet on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m. at Shoney's in Crossville. The cost will be the price of the buffet. This is a popular and fun event. Please bring a wrapped white elephant gift or a purchased gift in the $5-10 range, suitable for a male or female. Pine Grove holds Christmas program
