127 seniors SouthernPride-bw-W-7.jpg

The Southern Pride Band entertained the 127 Seniors.

The members of the 127 South Senior Center gathered last Friday for coffee and fellowship. Arlene Simmons started calling bingo at 9 a.m. Dr. Stewart Galloway's office furnished the bingo prizes, and they thanked them for supporting the seniors. Christy from Quality Home Health did blood pressure checks for us. Thanks, Christy.

Fred Zoeller, the newly elected president, called the meeting to order. Mildren Mims did the prayer, and Jerry, her husband, led the Pledge of Allegiance.

New members were welcomed: Joan Skinner, Sue Heinrechs and Linda Ruckner. Welcome! They are always pleased to have new members.

Members feeling under the weather were Kay Ballew, Carl Brooks, Carol Kirkland and Toy Smith. It was reported that Sandy Divine and Nancy Fincher are much better.

The entertainment was provided by Southern Pride. They did a great job and the seniors were glad to welcome them back.

Jan did the trip report, and they have a trip to Wisconsin Dells set for June 8-13. It will be six days and five nights featuring the Wisconsin Opry, Cave of the Mounds, House on the Rock ultimate experience, Circus World Museum, Cheese Factory tour and much more. Cost is $675 per person for double occupancy. Deposit is due Feb. 24. You don't have to be a member to travel with them. For more details call Jan at 788-3667.

Until next time, God bless.
