A sampling of the beautiful, unique bowls guests may select from at the Plateau Bowl ‘n Roll dinner.

The beautiful soup bowls are ready and the soups are being planned by area business and individual donors for the coming Nov. 6 dinner. A benefit creation of the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade, Plateau Bowl ’n Roll will help in funding the under construction Plateau Creative Arts Center, a regional state-of-the-art facility all Cumberland County will be proud of. Art Guild members and friends have spent months producing the bowls.

The Plateau Bowl ‘n Roll dinner is limited to 280 and it is recommended you make reservations early to insure a seat. The feast will consist of eight varieties of hearty soups, an assortment of bread, rolls, homemade desserts, and beverages. When dinner is finished you can happily take home the artistic and creative keepsake bowl for future enjoyment. There will be two seatings, at 5 and 6:30 p.m., 140 per seating. The Tuesday, Nov. 6, dinner will be held at the Christ Lutheran Church, fellowship hall, 481 Snead Drive, Fairfield Glade.

Tickets are $25, all inclusive. For ticket reservations, call Jane Mays, 707-1566. Tickets may be purchased from Jane at the Yarn Patch, 1771 Peavine Road, Mondays only, through Monday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. until noon. They may also be purchased at the Village Green Mall, Stonehenge Drive near its intersection with Peavine Road. Hours are 9 a.m. until noon Fridays only, through Friday, Nov. 2; a table will be attended near the atrium fountain for ticket purchases.

The Plateau Bowl ‘n Roll is a volunteer-donor effort with businesses, institutions, and individuals contributing generously in a number of ways. To date, benefactors include Halcyon Days, Genesis Italian Grille, Manny and Isabella’s, Steph’s Tea Room and Café, Fat Chef Café, Beef and Barrel, Deanna Magdich, and Ida Douglass; the list is tentative and may change.

The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade is a 501©(3) not-for-profit volunteer organization.
