The Mayland Festival is set for Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is busy getting everything lined up. Remember the date: Oct. 18. It will be at the Mayland Senior Center.
The next senior center meeting will be Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
Tony Snider, field representative for Woodmen of the World, will be sponsoring the bingo games and prizes. Members always look forward to Tony coming to Mayland.
Remember the buffet and bring your favorite meat dish or casserole. Make it large enough to feed six or eight people. Also remember those homemade desserts.
The meeting date to organize the Mayland Festival will be announced soon. It needs to all be brought together so, committee chairmen, get ready to report on how things are going.
There's a lot of work to do for the festival. Plan to attend this meeting so you will know what's going on and how you can help.
