The last meeting of the Mayland Senior Citizens was July 27 at 4 p.m.

Bingo was at 4 p.m. with Roy Welch as the caller, with wonderful gifts enjoyed by all.

Woodmen of the World's field representative Tony Snider was unable to be with members because of illness. Members hope Tony is feeling much better and everyone greatly missed you.

Everyone celebrated Nettie Whittaker's 98th birthday with a beautiful birthday cake and all the trimmings and room and table decorations. She was presented a card signed by all the members and a gift from the center. All sang "Happy Birthday" to her and wished her more birthdays!

Members would like to thank all those that helped put the birthday celebration together: Betty Forsythe, Barbara Smith, Sunshine chairman and Charlotte Mullikin. It couldn't have been done without you.

The meeting was called by President Leonard Granger, with all giving pledge to the flag and singing "God Bless America," led by Barbara Smith and Monica Henson.

Vocation was given by Bud Cobb, reading from Psalm 62, and had prayer. Charlotte Mullikin, program chairman, welcomed the Gospel Aires. They were given a wonderful applause.

They did a wonderful job of entertaining members and there are hopes they will be back very soon. Members really look forward to them coming to Mayland. Thank you, Gospel Aires.

The buffet was a very unusual one. Members had to leave and go home and fix shrimp and chicken wings. What a wonderful buffet, including all homemade desserts, fresh watermelon and more. It was great!

The next meeting will be Friday, August 10, at 4 p.m. Barbara Neely of WyndRidge Health and Rehab Center will be in charge of the bingo game and the furnishing of prizes. So everyone come and enjoy the bingo!
