The fourth annual Homesteads Apple Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT on the grounds of the Cumberland Homesteads Tower Museum and Homesteads Elementary School, four miles south of Crossville, at the junction of Hwy. 127 S and Hwy 68. Admission to the festival is free. There is a $2 car parking fee with plenty of parking available. There will be live music all day including bluegrass, country, gospel and folk. There will be a variety of food available including fresh regional apples, fried apple pies, cider, barbecue, pinto beans and cornbread, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more. There will also be a bake sale. More than 60 crafters and demonstrators will be on hand. There will also be a quilt show, quilt auction, antique tractor show and a Kid Zone play area.
