The University of Tennessee Extension, in conjunction with Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP), are hosting Family Expo on Saturday, May 6, at the Cumberland County Community Complex from 9 a.m. until noon.

Admission is free; however, donations of canned food items will be accepted in observance of Hunger Awareness Week June 5-9, 2006. There will be something for everyone. The children will enjoy getting to meet Ronald McDonald. The Lions Club will be doing free vision and hearing screenings for all ages (children and adult). The Kiwanis Club will be providing parents with free fingerprinting and photo IDs of their children. Where else can you find information on nutrition, local child care providers, health care, seat belt safety, dental care, and area retailers under one roof?

Organizations interested in setting up a booth please contact Kelli Moore or Paula Proffitt at the UT Extension Office at 484-6743. There will be no charge to participate in the event, however, we will be accepting canned food items to be donated to the Bread of Life.
