The Cumberland County Elks Lodge 2751 announces their good eating menu for the month of August. Only one of the meals will require reservations so get out your calendar and mark down these dates. Remember, children 8 and under are charged half price.

The regular all-you-can-eat catfish dinners will be served Friday, Aug. 3 and 17. These are served buffet style so you can fill up your plate with your favorites and go back for more when needed. The cost of $8 per person will cover lightly breaded catfish, coleslaw, your choice of baked potato or French fries, dessert, coffee, hot or iced tea. Service starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. No reservations required.

The special meal for August will be held on Friday, Aug. 10. It will feature stuffed flounder with a raspberry sauce, broccoli and cheese casserole, parsley potatoes, and gingerbread with a honey rum sauce for dessert. There will be two settings, 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Reservations only for this affair so call 484-0150 Monday through Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. The deadline for reservations is 6 p.m. Aug. 9. $8.50 per person is all it will cost for this adventure.

The Brunch Bunch will be ready and waiting on Sunday, Aug. 19, to serve their marvelous spread. A hot buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, coffee, hot or iced tea will await your pleasure. In addition, Swedish pancakes and made-to-order omelets with all the trimmings are prepared for your asking. The total cost per person is $7 with service from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. No reservations are required.

The Elks Lodge is located at 1145 Genesis Road. Get your friends and family together and come on down. Remember to call 484-0150 for the special Aug. 10 dinner with a deadline of 6 p.m. Aug. 9.
