A dramatic presentation of the familiar Easter story will be featured at Fairfield Glade Community Church during the worship service on Easter Sunday, April 8. As the Rev. Dale Marshall narrates the story highlighting the last three days of Jesus' life, members of the Community Players Christian drama group will bring the details to life in a tableau portraying the events.

In addition to a player cast as Mary Magdalene, 12 members will be featured as disciples in attendance at the Last Supper. Careful attention has been given to authentic-looking dress for the staging of this memorable portrait, according to drama group director Christine Britt.

The sacrament of Holy Communion will be a part of the concluding Lenten observances at the service, with the disciples assisting stewards with the distribution of elements to the congregation. Anyone wishing to share in this solemn observance is invited to partake.

Special music offered by the choirs will add to the celebratory meaning of Easter Day, along with the tradition of having a sanctuary filled with the beauty of flowers. Church members and friends have the opportunity to purchase Easter plants in memory of, or in honor of, family members or friends.

Community Church, a member of Churches Uniting in Christ, is located at 521 Snead Dr., with plenty of parking available in lots located on each side of the church. Everyone is welcome to be a part of the congregation at this special 10 a.m. Easter worship service.
