The Crab Orchard Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will be holding its May meeting at the First National Bank of Tennessee, 1386 North Main Street, Thursday, May 18 at 3:30 p.m. The speaker for the meeting will be Vickie Myers from the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit at Cumberland Medical Center. Myers has been in this field at CMC for 19 years and before that was an ICU nurse. She will be speaking of a very up-to-date topic, "Heart Disease: Women's Silent Killer," as a part of the chapter's Women's Issues Initiatives.

Also included in the meeting will be the induction and welcoming ceremony for newest member Kari Rockwell.

The DAR Chapter will also be presenting the DAR Print Media Awards, to be announced at the meeting.

All ladies, 18 years or older, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution are invited to attend.
