Constitution Week will be celebrated at the monthly meeting of the Crab-Orchard Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution on Sept. 17. The meeting begins with a social time starting at 3 p.m. and a business meeting at 3:30 p.m.

This month's meeting will be held in the Art Circle Library's community room, which is located next door to the Art Circle Library. Sandy McRae, vice regent, will present a program titled "The Constitution: A Document for All Times." Uncle Sam is expected to make an appearance to help ring the bells of freedom which will occur at 4 p.m. across the nation by members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Any woman over the age of 18 who can prove lineal descent from a Revolutionary Patriot is eligible to join the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and is invited to visit the Crab-Orchard Chapter DAR to learn more about our local Society.
