Cumberland Artisans for Creative Expression (CACE) will present its fourth Fall Artisans Expo on Saturday, September 22, at the Cumberland County Community Complex from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CACE officials are busy planning the 2007 event and screening the applications of exhibitors and demonstrators. Deadline is set for Monday, July 16 (see accompanying application).

Expo applicants selected will include artisans, crafters, and writers. Their visual and three-dimensional creations in the past have included basketry, fiber art, paper craft, painting, photography, wood, textiles, weaving, jewelry, sculpture, and more. CACE supports and showcases exclusively Cumberland County arts and crafts interests and the Artisans Expo is an example. Many items are for sale. Once again, visitors will enjoy viewing, learning about, and buying the exceptional variety and quality of original art being offered.

One of many exclusive features of the Artisans Expo is its popular silent auction; noted for its high quality, it will be expanded as more benefactors respond to CACE's community solicitations. The silent auction has become one of the finest in Cumberland County because of the variety and quality of items donated. The proceeds from the auction benefit CACE cultural projects. The Artisans Expo is CACE's main fundraising event encouraging and supporting all artists and artisans in Cumberland County. The silent auction focuses on raising those funds for CACE's community accomplishments. The general public is encouraged to donate gifts to this worthwhile project. Remember, all donations and gifts are tax deductible!

Admission is $1 per person, or free if under 12 years of age. The Community Complex is located at 1398 Livingston Road, near its intersection with West Avenue (Hwy. 70 North) in Crossville. For Expo questions, contact Wilma Emling at (931) 456-7954, or Betty Zarnitz at (931) 456-6946.
