The United Fund of Cumberland County met for their annual meeting Feb.15 at the Crossville Housing Authority meeting room where they were served a delicious lunch of lasagna, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert compliments of the Avalon Center Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program staff and officers as a thank you for the contribution from the United Fund. Holly Neal, director of the United Fund says, "Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful lunch which was such a treat for the United Fund officers and the representatives of other organizations who attended the meeting. The staff of Avalon served with such joy that it was easy to see that they were doing it as a labor of love."

Entertainment was provided by D.J. and Donna Garrison before and during lunch.

The United Fund officials conducted their business meeting after lunch, electing the officers and board of directors, recognizing outgoing officers and board, recognizing agency representatives, hearing the 2005 financial report, 2005 annual report and 2006 campaign update. They voted on items as new business and the executive committee gave it's funding recommendations for the 2006 campaign.
