On March 20-22, the 3.0 Women’s Super Seniors 60s tennis team from Fairfield Glade competed in the Southern Sectional Championships in Pelham, AL. They came in a very respectable second place in their flight of five teams, with a match record of three wins and one loss. The loss was in their first match against Alabama in undesirable weather conditions of a very windy 40°F. The remaining three matches were won by a margin of 2-1. Our Fairfield Glade team is among the top five teams in the South.

“I’m quite pleased with how well they played, considering this was their first time at a sectional championship,” quoted Ann Flint, team captain. “They all supported each other, even off the court. They came together as a real team and looked the part with coordinated colors each day. It was a great experience for everyone.”
