An oil by Ted Sizemore was selected “Best of Show” by Judge Sandra Paynter Washburn who termed the 28th Annual Fall Award Show “very difficult to judge due to so many categories with so much variety in each category.” Sizemore’s “Woody” was praised by Washburn, who said, “This piece is so fabulous because of the light and patterns created by the light…It is realistic but at the same time, within the painting, has very nice abstract qualities.”

The Award Show, “Building a Dream,” is a production of The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade. It is now in progress through Saturday, October 27, and features 50 artists proudly displaying 135 pieces of their art. Media include watercolor, oil, photography, pastel, pencil/charcoal, 3-dimensional, and mixed media.

The Fall Award Show is being held at the Village Green Mall in Fairfield Glade, on Stonehenge Drive near its intersection with Peavine Road; the Show is open during regular Mall business hours. Your support benefits the Art Guild’s Plateau Creative Arts Center, now under construction. Admission to all events is free and friends, neighbors, and visitors are welcome.
