Mom never said, “No pickleball in the house!” Dick Deweese and Bruce Horn serve up a game at the Racquet Center booth during the Positively Glade Community Information Fair at the Community at Conference Center on June 20.

Positively Glade sponsored its inaugural Community Information Fair on June 20 in the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center’s ballroom. All of the Community Club departments, board appointed committees, the police and fire departments plus members of the board of directors participated to provide information and answer questions about their respective operations.

Nearly 100 residents attended the rain-shortened event, which was promoted by the FGCC as a collaborative community education opportunity with Positively Glade. By paying the room rental fee and including all Community Club departments and board-appointed committees, the event qualified to be promoted via email by the FGCC.

Residents strolled around the ballroom to visit with the more than 25 departments/committees participating. Although an extended rain downpour dampened attendance, it didn’t dampen the spirits of those attending, as they interacted and shared ideas on a countless number of topics.

The fair will become an annual event to provide a convenient forum for Glade residents to gain valuable insights and information about the operations of their community.
