The planning has begun for the 28th Fairfield Glade Member-Member Golf Tournament to begin competition on the Brae and Crag courses at Heatherhurst Golf Club on August 11-12. This year's committee members are Mike and Lee Stotz, Bob Stacey, Don and Marsha Guckenberger, Norm Zaenger, Bob and Rosemary Barth, Catherine Falconer, Steve and Joyce Dubbs, and Bob and Jackie Yoesting.
Again this year, the entries will be limited to the first 184 two-person teams. Sign up will begin in March and close in July, or when the 184 team limit is achieved.
Because of the overwhelming success of the pre-tournament reception, it will be held again this year on Friday, Aug. 10, at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center.
Glade Director of Golf Operations Steve Kraft and his group of PGA Club Professionals, want to remind everyone interested in playing in the event that you will be required to submit a valid and certifiable handicap index from an authorized USGA golf club or golf association and also be a member in good standing of the Fairfield Glade Community Club. In addition, handicap indexes submitted this year, as in the past years, along with posted scoring history will be reviewed by the Member-Member tournament committee. These requirements go a long way to assuring a level playing field for all players competing. Questions concerning the handicap requirements can be addressed to Steve Kraft (707-2158) or e-mail Steve at email@example.com.
General questions regarding the tournament or sponsorship opportunities can be directed to Mike or Lee Stotz at (707-0995) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
