The Fairfield Glade Community Club Election Committee has announced that a “Meet the Candidates” town hall meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, July 29, at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center. The meeting will provide an opportunity for property owners to meet the four candidates seeking election to the one (1) open Property Owner Director At-Large position on the Community Club’s Board of Directors. Candidates for the position are Dennis W. Ashman, Linda Cronwell, Robert (Bob) Jackson and John Muldoon.

During the town hall meeting, each candidate will be given the opportunity to present a brief introduction of themselves and their election platform. The candidate presentations will be followed by a question and answer period. Questions will be compiled from written queries submitted to the election committee via e-mail (see address listed below) or from questions submitted on forms provided at the Community and Conference Center at the town hall meeting. All questions must be submitted in writing; oral questions from the audience will not be permitted. The election committee will compile a list of questions from all those submitted to be presented to the candidates by the moderator in an organized, rotation format. Questions submitted by the members/property owners should be structured to include all candidates; questions to specific candidates will not be accepted.

An exclusive e-mail address (fgccelection@fairfieldglade.cc) has been established for property owners to submit their questions for the candidates. Members submitting questions are requested to include their name, address and telephone number.

Ballots will be mailed to all members in good standing the week of Aug. 9; the deadline for return of ballots to the tabulating agency is 5 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 10. Results of the election will be announced at the annual meeting, which will be held on Sept. 17, 2010, at 10 a.m., at the Community and Conference Center.
