The Fairfield Glade Community Club Election Committee has announced that a “Meet the Candidates” town hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 24, at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center. The meeting will provide an opportunity for property owners to meet the three candidates seeking election to the two (2) open Property Owner Director At-Large positions on the Community Club’s Board of Directors. Candidates for the position are: Dr. Philip E. Gover, Robert H. Stackhouse and Gary A. Walk.

During the town hall meeting, each candidate will be given the opportunity to present a brief introduction of themselves and their election platform. The candidate presentations will be followed by a question and answer period.

Questions will be compiled from written queries submitted to the Election Committee via e-mail or from questions submitted on forms provided at the Community and Conference Center at the town hall meeting. The deadline for questions submitted via e-mail is 3 p.m., on Friday, July 20.  Members submitting questions are requested to include their name, address, and telephone number. All questions must be submitted in writing; oral questions from the audience will not be permitted. The Election Committee will compile a list of questions from all those submitted to be presented to the candidates by the moderator in an organized, rotation format. Questions submitted by the members should be structured to include all candidates; questions to specific candidates will not be accepted.

Ballots will be mailed to all members in good standing the week of August 6; the deadline for return of ballots to the tabulating agency is 5 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 7. Results of the election will be announced at the Annual Meeting, which will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at 10 a.m., at the Community and Conference Center.
