Knights of Columbus Council 8152 held their 19th annual Charity Golf Tournament Wednesday, June 15, at The Bear Trace Golf Course. The annual Golf Tournament started off with high hopes that the rain would clear, but no luck. Heavy rains in the Crossville area forced the cancellation of the golf portion of our tournament.  The 34 teams who came out to support the many charities the Knights of Columbus promote in Cumberland County found themselves off to the Knights of Columbus Hall, Hwy. 70, for the distribution of door prizes, along with individual and team awards, plus a delicious dinner from Big Boy’s Barbecue.
The tournament committee developed a plan to fairly disperse the $1500 prize fund to the tournament teams. The decision was to divide the $1500 into fifteen, $100 awards. A random selection was done by the tournament chairmen and Bear Trace staff with the following teams being selected: 1A - Nelson Brown, Ed Day, Ralph Rupp and John Brey; 3A -  Jim Cannon, Jerry Weber, Bernie LaFrancois and Tony Ziino; 3B - Medard Kaluska, Bob Olds, Bob Barth and Ron Lemieux; 4B - Ed Mayo, Russ Buerdette, Bruce Jodarski and Terry Burgess; 6A - Walt Peterson, Gene Belvo, Jay McCarthy and Pam McCarthy; 7A - Tom Dega, Joe Dickens, Phil Poynter and Jack Eisenlord; 8A - Jane Wicker, JoAnne Wilkiel, Sherry Koch and Mary Listenberger; 9A - Cathy Manning, Barb Colombo, Bernie Gundy and Pat Schudiske; 10A -  Monsignor Philip Thoni, Fred Laufenberg, Mike Porter and Bill Gunter; 11A - Jim Byars, Dave Rivard, Ted DeWolf and George Parker; 12B - Shelton Johnson, John Gratton, Bob Benvenuto and Jim Williams; 14A - Gil Bromberek, Gary Wentworth, Bob Skaggs and Tom Ripley; 15A - Tina Neigh, Jan Weeden, Beth Jones and Julie Kratt; 16B - Ray Holbrook, Ron Sykes, Bill Halderson and Clark Jameson and 17A - Amie Cyr, Bill Scheffer, Rick Tringadjis and Scott Ebersole.
