The Fairfield Glade Hospice Auxiliary will once again usher in the holiday season with its 20th annual Holiday Ball on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Druid Hills Country Club. Sherry Koch and Joanie Finnel, co-chairs of the event, invite you to be a part of this holiday celebration. The gala event will begin at 5:30 p.m. as ladies and gentlemen arrive in their holiday attire to enjoy cocktail time with friends, peruse the silent and live auction tables and mingle amid the holiday decorations. A gourmet dinner planned by Chef Jerry will be served as guests enjoy the music of the Bill Sleeter Trio. A fast-paced live auction, under the gavel of Norm Torrey, will follow the dinner and the evening will continue with dancing and great music. A spectacular evening has been planned for all attendees! The donation for this festive occasion is $60 per person (please note that $25 may be considered a charitable donation, for tax purposes) with the proceeds benefiting Hospice of Cumberland County, the only not-for-profit Hospice organization in our area.

Clip the attached reservation form and send in your check now to reserve your place at this gala event — only 200 seats are available. Nov. 7 is the cut-off date and reservations are usually filled within two weeks, so make your plans now. Please list a telephone number on the reservation form and once your check is received, you will receive a confirmation call.

The menu is a salad of fancy field greens, pears, apples, crumbled blue cheese, candied walnuts with pomegranate vinaigrette dressing, sliced roast tenderloin of beef-lobster stuffed, served on a pool of light classic Robert Sauce, herb and goat cheese infused duchess potatoes, roasted matchstick vegetable medley, and the dinner will be topped off with peppermint ice cream pie in a chocolate Oreo crust shell with a drizzle of warm chocolate ganache.

The live and silent auction items include overnight getaways to Nashville, Gatlinburg, Georgia and even Sante Fe, NM, where a two-night stay at the Inn on the Alameda will once again be up for bid. Artwork by local artisans, symphony tickets, gift baskets, and dining certificates are just some of the featured items.

Plan now to join us for this gala evening. This is the perfect beginning to the holiday season and all done for a great cause, to benefit Hospice of Cumberland Count
