One of the silent auction items — an antique schoolhouse chair.

The Silent Auction is an important and enjoyable part of the Art Guild’s 2019 Golf Tournament Fundraiser. Filled with popular, sought-after items donated by generous individuals and business sponsors, the Silent Auction and après-golf luncheon are both open to the public. After the tournament at Druid Hills, participating golfers will gather at Legends to enjoy beverages, lunch, and the Silent Auction. For those that are not playing golf in the tournament, the cost for the luncheon is $16, and the Silent Auction is free. Between noon and 2 p.m., head over to Legends to view the unique Silent Auction items and make bids in support of the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade.

The Silent Auction has many items that will leave participants rushing to make bids. One highlighted item of this auction is an antique schoolhouse chair, made of solid oak and valued at $500, which was donated by Beverly Olin and creatively painted by artist Gary Ruetenik. The minimum bid on the chair will be $200. Another featured item is a corner curio cabinet, which is valued at $250 with a minimum bid of $100. Both auction items may be viewed at the Art Guild’s Plateau Creative Arts Center (PCAC) this month prior to the July 19 Golf Tournament Fundraiser.

The Art Guild wishes to thank all of the donating sponsors, team participants and volunteers who contribute their time and effort to ensure the success of the 2019 Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
