The Fairfield Glade Bass Club held their seventh tournament of the 2006 season on Lakes Pomeroy, Kirkstone and Malvern May 25-27. Twelve boats participated, with a total of 33 bass caught weighing a total of 31.2 lbs. Three of those caught were over 14 inches. All fish were released.

First place went to the team of Jim Webb and James McCulloch. They caught five bass weighing a total of 4.9 lbs.

There was a tie for second place. The team of Lee Murray and Al Amon caught five bass weighing a total of 4.2 lbs. The team of Frank Fiedler and Don Cheatum caught two bass also weighing a total of 4.2 lbs.

The Big Fish Trophy went to Frank Fiedler with his catch which weighed 3.3 lbs. and measured 19 inches.

The point standings after the first four tournaments are:

The next tournament will be held on Lake Dartmoor on June 9, 10 and 12 from 7 a.m. to noon.

The Bass Club meetings are held on last Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Community Church on Snead Drive. The meeting is open to any Glade property owner or Glade employee interested in learning more about bass fishing. You don't need to own a boat to join. Non boat owners are paired with members who own boats.
