Fairfield Glade Resident Services (FRGS) is pleased to announce the presentation of a Transportation Workshop on Tuesday, July 19. This free workshop is the third in a series of planned 2011 FGRS Community Information Events.
The workshop will be held at the FG Community & Conference Center (128 Stonehenge Dr.) and is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon. Featured will be presentations by representatives of the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA), who will provide an update on their current local and regional public transportation services and future plans. This is a great opportunity for residents to learn more about UCHRA’s transportation system and how to take advantage of the convenient, low cost service they provide. Would you believe that you can travel round trip anywhere in Cumberland County for only $2? Their low cost fares to Cookeville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville are equally amazing. It is especially important for residents who are unable to drive to learn more about these UCHRA services and how to access them.
As a special service to those FG residents who will need a ride in order to attend this workshop, the Recreation Department of FG will provide a shuttle to pick you up and return you to your home in Fairfield Glade. If you need a ride, call 484-3722 by no later than Friday, July 15, to make a reservation. In addition, the Recreation Department will present an update on the local on-site transportation services they provide. Current and future plans will be discussed.
Other available transportation services will also be reviewed and potential future services (as envisioned by FGRS) will be discussed. Your involvement in this discussion is welcomed.
You are encouraged to attend this informational workshop, which will include a question and answer session following each of the presentations. So bring your questions and join us at the FG Community & Conference Center at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19 for “Together We Can Enhance Our Quality of Life.” For more information, call Ken Schuning at 456-8185.
