As the dogwoods bloom and the wind blows, fishing gets better in Fairfield Glade. With this said, tournament #5, held on Lake Dartmoor, proved to be one of the best in recent history. Twenty seven fishermen participated, with a total of 57 bass being caught. Nine groups were able to catch five fish limits and only one group got skunked.

The results are as follows:

First place — Lee Murray and Thurman Cochran, 5 fish, 8.95 pounds.

Second place — Tom Teall and Jerry Smith, 5 fish, 8.94 pounds.  (Note, second place was won by  .01 lb.)

Third place — Jim Webb and Bill Rogerson, 5 fish, 8.24 pounds.

Big Bass honors went to Jim Webb, with his 21-inch, 3.54 pound bass.

If you are interested in joining Fairfield Glade Bass Club, the next meeting will be Thursday, May 28. The meetings are held at the Fairfield Glade Community Church and begin at 7 p.m.
