The Cumberland County Elks Lodge 2751 invites you to two all-you-can-eat catfish dinners and one Sunday brunch in October.

The catfish dinners will be held on Friday, Oct. 3 and 17. The all-you-can-eat meal is served buffet style. It includes lightly breaded catfish, coleslaw, choice of baked potato or French fries, dessert, and coffee or tea. Service is from 5-7p.m. and the cost is only $8 per person including sales tax.

The very popular Sunday brunch will be on Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $8 per person including sales tax. This is a hot buffet with scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, coffee or tea. You can also order your own made-to-order omelet and Swedish pancakes are available for the asking.

These affairs are highly attended and they encourage you to carpool whenever possible because parking is limited. The Lodge is located at 1145 Genesis Rd., just a mile south of I-40. Keep in mind that the lodge is available to rent by non-members for private party functions at a very reasonable price. Please call 484-0150 Monday through Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. for details and available dates.

Please note: The Friday night catfish dinners will be held the second and fourth Fridays of the month starting in January 2009. This is a change from the traditional Friday dates, so please mark your calendar. They will keep reporting this change each month and specific January dates will be given by the end of this year.
