The Community Players of Fairfield Glade Community Church will take to the stage at the church Sunday evening, Sept. 21, to perform for those attending the monthly fellowship dinner.

Known for their special programs during the church year, the Christian drama group is under the direction of Judy Murphy for a presentation of “The Case of the Mysterious Benefactor.” The play is recognized as an audience participation comedy.

Dinner is set for 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall, with reservations available through Sept. 14. Baked pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls for the main course will be finished off with an apple crisp dessert. Guests pay $7 per person, provide their own table service and bring donations for the Morgan-Scott mission project.

Nancy and Gary Burleson, who chair the fellowship dinner committee, say the September needs for the thrift store serving Morgan and Scott counties in “helping people to help themselves” include supplies of canned meats and cleaning products of all varieties. Questions about this event may be directed to the church office (484-7412) any weekday morning between 9 a.m. and noon.

The Sunday morning service at Community Church begins at 10 a.m., with 10 minutes reserved before worship for announcements and introduction of guests. Pastor Cindy Benz coordinates this time as well as the order of worship.
