Timothy Daniel (T.D.) Schlafer of Fairfield Glade was awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree during commencement exercises of Lincoln Memorial University - Duncan School of Law held at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium on May 17. Schlafer attended law school at the Knoxville campus on a full scholarship over the last three years. During graduation he was honored with the General Oliver O. Howard Pro Bono Award for performing over 100 hours of free legal services during his time at the school. Schlafer spent his final year on the dean’s list, maintaining a grade point average above 3.5 en route to his degree. He was previously presented a CALI Award for Advanced Legal Research and earned Master’s degrees in Sport Management at Middle Tennessee State University and Business Administration at Tennessee Wesleyan University prior to law school. He will sit for the Tennessee Bar Exam in July.
