The Fairfield Glade Lions Club has appointed MacKenzie Margrave “Student of the Month” for May 2019. She is a senior at Cumberland County High School and was selected to participate in the Lions program by counselor Barbara Bridges. Lions Program Chairman Bob Cover chose the month of May and assigned Crossville Heating and Cooling as her corporate partner.
MacKenzie has been a busy young lady in school activities as well as home duties. She served as a member of the marching band color guard during her freshman through junior years. She also served as an aid in the attendance office this past year as well as the Jet Buck counter during her junior year. She also volunteered with “Christmas on the Mountain” this past December to wrap the donated presents for the children.
Her father has been very sick and has missed a lot of work days. MacKenzie has spent many afternoons helping him catch up on paperwork. She also finds time to help around the house and perform yard upkeep. She and her dad are movie fanatics, especially interested in Marvel movies. MacKenzie loves to sing and admits to enjoying drawing even though she is not very good at it.
Future plans and goals are to attend Tennessee Tech University with a major in human ecology — child development and family studies. After graduation, she plans to work in an adoption agency to pursue her master’s degree in education and become a family and consumer science teacher.
Sounds like a full future plan to me. We all give you our blessing and wish you great success in your plan for your lifetime. Just keep up with the good work you have started and enjoy life.
