The Cumberland County 4-H Horse Judging Team just completed two major horse judging contests. The first was at the Miller Coliseum at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. There the judging team completed against almost 450 contestants judging eight classes consisting of halter and performance of four different breeds. Winning 4th High Individual in the contest was Macye Ellis. Junior high judging members were Brooke Baisley and Carrie Baisley. Judging for the junior team were members Macye Ellis, Kayla Richardson and Jordan Thompson.

The next stop for the judging team was the Eastern Region Contest held at Roane State Community College in Harriman. Junior team members were Macye Ellis, Kayla Richardson and Jordan Thompson. Judging for the junior high team were members Brooke Baisley, Carrie Baisley and Nikki Turner. Judging for the senior high division was Kelli Turner. Placing 3rd High Individual Juniors and High Individual Juniors Oral Reasons was Jordan Thompson. Fourth High Individual Juniors and 4th High Individual Junior Oral Reasons was Macye Ellis.

The junior team also placed 3rd High Team in the contest. Congratulations to all team members for a great job and effort in these contests. The team would also like to thank the volunteer horse judging coach, Rachel Hayes, for all her time in effort in coaching the team.
