Alexis Taryn Rhianne Moore and Emily Swafford have been chosen to attend the Tennessee Governor's School in Dance. Dance students from all over the state audition for this opportunity. The audition consists of performing a dance and an interview. Only a small number of dancers are chosen for the program held at Middle Tennessee State University. They will spend three weeks in June training with a variety of instructors.

Alexis "Lexie" Moore is the daughter of Cumberland County residents Ronald and Tammy Moore. The majority of her training has been with Arts in Motion in Kingston, where she currently trains. Her early training was with the Cumberland County Playhouse.

Emily Swafford is the daughter of Cumberland County residents Kevin and Cheryl Swafford. Emily has trained with the Cumberland County Playhouse and the staff of Arts in Motion in Kingston.
