Fourth-graders tour downtown Crossville

Fleet Reserve Association Branch 294 members CWO Alexander Alenitsch, United States Coast Guard retired, and Senior Chief Jack Fogel, United States Navy retired, provided a historical presentation to the fourth-graders from Martin and Stone elementary schools during the fourth-grade tours in downtown Crossville. The students attentively listened to stories of Crossville history regarding the Homesteaders who settled in the region and built the first stone monument. The mentors told snippets of facts from the Revolutionary War up to the post 9/11 campaigns. At the conclusion of the presentation, the students were asked if they would like to repeat the Pledge of Allegiance and they did a wonderful job.
