Trooper, motorist injured

Two people including a Tennessee state trooper were injured in this three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Lantana Rd. and Miller Ave., according to Ptl. Curtis Phillips' report. Trooper Bobby Barker was traveling out-bound on Lantana Rd. en route to an accident with injuries on Dunbar Rd. near Lake Tansi when he approached the intersection with blue lights and siren activated. A 2007 Toyota Rave driven by Wanda J. McGraw, 61, Dunbar Rd., traveling south on Miller Ave., entered the intersection as Barker's patrol car approached with both coming into contact in the intersection. The force of the impact sent the Toyota into a stopped 1997 Plymouth Breeze driven by Charles M. Houseley, 38, of Ted Davis Rd. Barker and McGraw were taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center and both have since been released. Investigation by THP's Critical Incident Response Team and Crossville Police Department is continuing.
