    The 18-member Swing Street Big Band will help open the Fairfield Glade Christmas Season on Saturday, Dec. 7, with more than a dozen holiday music classics played at a wide range of ballroom dance tempos.

    There is a very special two-act show that will be presented at the Cumberland County Playhouse on the evening after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 29. My friend Sara Senft is a longtime volunteer, usher and supporter of the Playhouse. She called because she is very excited about this show. It is the first that she has ever sponsored, along with Shadden Tire, and she thought Playhouse fans and longtime local residents needed to know about this unique performance.

    On Monday evening, Dec. 3, the Fairfield Glade Lions Club will present the third adventure in the Travelogue Series. It will take you on a trip to “The Heart of San Francisco.” It will all start at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theatre. Tickets are available at the door for $7 per person. Sandy Mortimer will return again to our city to present a delightful evening about one of the most colorful cities in the USA.

  • Celebrate a Hometown Christmas, Broadway New Year December 8

    Cumberland County Playhouse stars Nate Hackmann and Nicole Begue Hackmann sing a special new Christmas/New Year’s concert on the CCP Mainstage on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2:30. Titled "Hometown Christmas, Broadway New Year," the concert expresses joy in a traditional Christmas in their adopted Crossville hometown, and excitement about Nate making his Broadway debut with Les Misérables in its new Broadway production early next year.
